How long have you been in business?
The Alternative Board (TAB) started board meetings in Tulsa in 1994. TAB's sponsor in Tulsa, Corporate Performance Group started its business operations in 1989 and is currently one of the longest tenured management consulting practices in the state.
What is your primary product or service?
TAB Tulsa is a business owner advisory board organization for owners and CEOs of privately owned companies. With an average of over 250 years of business on each of our boards the members get real business advice in a safe and confidential environment. TAB also provides business and executive coaching services and, through its sponsor, Corporate Performance Group, provides advisory services in the areas of business value maximization, strategic planning, turnarounds, operations improvement, CFO services and leadership development.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Our facilitators are experienced business people with a penchant for learning about businesses and understanding each business. We love business, we love to teach, we love to learn. We have been and want to be part of business success in the small to mid-size business environment. With TAB we get to use our experience, combined with that of our members, to be a true part of their business success.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
TAB helps the business leader work on their business, not in it. Work on the important, not just the urgent. Each TAB Board is made up of non-competitive business leaders until non-disclosure agreements providing a truly safe environment to air issues and opportunities. Each board provides its members with over 250 years of business experience in solving problems and taking advantage of opportunities that every business owner faces.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
The Alternative Board currently has over 175 facilitators working in well over 125 cities in the US and internationally. In Tulsa we are currently operating 5 boards.

What are your hours of operation?
We hold our board meetings monthly for each board. The board meetings are 4 hours and one-on-one sessions are an hour. Board meetings and one-on-one sessions are scheduled with the board members according to their schedule and availability.
